vegan diet vs omnivorous diet for cardiovascular health

In a recent study involving 44 identical twins, researchers found that a vegan diet can lead to better heart health compared to an omnivorous diet (Landry MJ, et.al., 2023).

For 8 weeks, one twin from each pair followed a vegan diet, while the other ate omnivorous meals. The vegan group had significant reductions in LDL cholesterol, fasting insulin levels, and weight.

This study suggests that a vegan diet consisting of vegetables, legumes, fruits, whole grains, nuts, and seeds might be a healthier option for improving heart-related health factors.
