Where Recommendations are Based on Scientific Evidence

Take Control of Your Health

The purpose of this information is to give you effective guidelines based on published scientific research that will help you stay healthy and feeling your best.

I have seen these guidelines produce results with real patients through the many years in my practice. I follow these recommendations myself and have found them to be very valuable in my own personal life.

We have made it easy for you to verify the accuracy of the references yourself. Just click on the references and it will take you to the original abstracts. We want you to be well informed.

If you read about all the conditions posted here, you will find that inflammation is mentioned in most of them. This is not a coincidence, inflammation is involved in most chronic conditions.

Inflammation is the way the body defends itself. We need the acute production of inflammation, an immune response, to protect ourselves. Inflammation is a part of the healing process. What we don’t need is chronic inflammation that is destructive.

Diet and lifestyle intervention is very effective in reducing chronic inflammation and it is something you have control over yourself.

Since inflammation is common in chronic conditions, you will find that the general dietary recommendations are the same for multiple conditions. The type of food we eat can be very effective in reducing low grade, systemic inflammation and improve your biochemistry. When your biochemistry improves, you may notice that many things change for the better.

The meals described in the books, “The Food Connection” and “Effective Nutrition for Effective Healing” will help improve your biochemistry and reduce systemic inflammation.
